Last Chance Ranch is a private equine rescue operation that rehabilitates and places horses in distress. Based in Ocklawaha, Florida, Last Chance Ranch has seen many horses and other animals with miserable skin conditions. in fact, skin problems are one of the first signs of neglect and inadequate nutrition in horses. 

Jennifer Elliott, who heads up Last Chance Ranch, is the inventor of Calm Coat.  After seeing so many horses with skin problems, she needed to come up with an affordable alternative to the many trips to a veterinarian to treat these skin problems. So Jennifer created Calm Coat.

The results from Calm Coat's use were so amazing that friends started to purchase it.  Soon, local veterinarians were ordering it by the gallon and feed stores were requesting to carry it, too. 

Not long after the benefits of Calm Coat were fully realized, Jennifer put her efforts into a new product, Calm Eyes. Following the same principles that guided her through the development of Calm Coat, Jennifer reproduced an old home remedy, this time for irritated eyes.
